Intel WiFi upgrade
I used this Intel WiFi card to upgrade a Dell D830 that had a Dell branded WiFi card. The results were very good.
The Intel WiFi card has 3 antennas, while the previous Dell card had 2. If your Laptop has a third antenna just put it on the middle connector. Also, the connectors that are similar to miniature (really tiny) coax connections are a bit tricky to connect. Be sure to align them properly before applying pressure or you'll bend the outer rim. Intel hopes buyers are too dumb to tell the difference.
I just bought 2x 4965AGN's and both were Model:4965AGN but Version:4965AG_ In short, it's 802.11G with multiple antennas, not 802.11N (specifically, according to Intel, N is hardware disabled). Since multiple antennas is the most prominent feature of 802.11N, Intel thought they'd just go and peddle these off to the unsuspecting buyers as if it were true 802.11N. BEWARE! Read the label or find out from the buyer first.
Version 4965AG_ MM1 is not 802.11N!!

Works great for my Asus Eee PC 1000
Bought this so I could connect to my 5ghz N draft wireless access point! Very easy to install in my Asus, Just remove the bottom plastic plate with 2 screws, remove the existing wireless card next to the hard drive (another two small screws) disconnect the two antennas, install the new board, install screws and two antennas that just snap on, then needed to purchase a third antenna to get N band and now I can connect with 2.4 ghz or 5ghz on A,B,G or N band. No Problems, did not notice a differen...
