16 May 2009 How FRUSTRATING. This ZyXel Wireless adapter works perfectly fine when used as an adapter, but the features list also boasts that it can take your wired ethernet connection and create a wireless access point for you.

If that's what you wanted and you're running Vista 64 Bit like me, sorry.
But that won't be a reality. The software which was shipped with my adapter was out of date so I got more recent software dated as 4/13/2009 from the website. Upon opening up the "FAQ" however, it said,

27 Apr 2009 Good product for wireless networking. I purchased the Zyxel adapter because I recently purchased a Dell Studio Hybrid (Vista PC) that I have been keeping in my room, and I wanted to access my home network, and more importantly, the internet.

If you are not familiar with the Dell Studio Hybrid, I should tell you that it is pretty much a contained PC that connects to peripherals primarily through USB ports, thus traditional methods of wireless connection would not work.

10 Feb 2009 Never going back to PCI wireless I love this little device. It works far better than the PCI wireless card than I started with even thought it is a fraction of the size and far easier to install. My system is relatively close to the (old linksys) base so I cannot attest to range but if that isn't a consideration I'd recommend this in a heartbeat. –T. Myersfrom Amazon.com
