16 Jul 2008 Lousy Company The Brother MFC9840CDW has poor quality printing, will not properly print Avery labels and requires access to the rear to change a setting for printing envelopes...a major inconvenience.

30 Jun 2008 Don't replace your toner cartridges too early!! The quality and functionality of this Multi-Function Center has been accurately noted as being outstanding by the numerous 5-star reviews already posted, and I would second every one of them. The only negative I would have with this unit (and its a minor one) is the cost of the toner cartridges, but never having owned a laser printer before, it maybe par for the course.

21 Jun 2008 Does everything well, but is heavy Had this for two weeks. Installation on 4 PCs was smooth (Win XP, Linux). Immediately handled double-sided faxing (send and receive) without fuss, including receiving using 'distinctive ring' option (2nd number on single phone line into home business) in New Zealand (Telecom's Faxability service).

Printing and copying quality as expected. No paper jams yet.

Extreme paper curl mentioned in a couple of other reviews not a problem here.
