Only for heavy sleepers who like to stock up on cartridges Unless you're a heavy sleeper this will wake you up at 3 in the morning and do a clean cycle every night (according to my wife) which will then drain all your ink so that the one time when you have to print that important document that you need to sign and mail out today, you can't, because the printer decides you must go out and buy a new Cyan just so you can print greyscale.

Absolutely not worth the low printer cost My old canon MP750 died after 2 yrs, and so I thought of trying another printer. After doing some research on different printers I narrowed it down to 2 - brother MFC 290c and Canon MP 300. I picked Brother purely due to the cost as it was $20 lower than Canon at the time I bought it which was my biggest mistake.

Pros:
Easy and fairly light installation software.
Very fast prints on economy modes. Offers 2 economy modes so you dont end up wasting more ink.
Easy to start up.

A COMPLETE DISASTER! I have NEVER had much trouble with printers. They get a few years old and just stop working. But I've had nothing but problems with this horrific device! From the beginning, the manual was in Chinese, the operation was so complicated that I had to refer to (and decipher) the manual over and over. Just changing the ink carts was ridiculous, as the stupid thing ALWAYS said "no cartridge" until you pounded the new one in with your fist (all three colors and black did the same thing).
