Scanning is a Pain
I've had this unit for a week and I've already found a huge programing flaw. HP forgot to include support for double sided document scanning! I am fine with flipping the document over by hand, but I end up with two separate files--one file per side--of what is originally one document.

Good value, once you successfully set it up.
I purchased this multifunction printer to replace another HP multifunction printer that had failed. In the process of setting this up, I came to realize that the installation CD that came with it -- along with HP's installation instructions -- are to be avoided at all costs. Instead, I'd follow Chong Yip's set-up suggestions for PC's running Vista. See his review under Amazon's product: HP Officejet J6480. Headache!
Picked this up today at Costco and will return it tomorrow. Came here to Amazon to find alternatives that actually connect to a home network without a major headache, and that print faster than 1 page per several minutes. This is a case where HP tried to stuff too much into one piece of plastic, so it takes forever to install the support software, when you do your network crashes, etc. etc. Ug.
