This is a great product. There is a new version of this product which works great.

I wanted to have 2 printers connected to my 2 computers. I tried the Dlink 1260 print server. I couldn't get it to work on one printer and one computer. After almost 2 full days of trying and spending hours on the phone with tech support. I was told to return the dlink because it was defective. I tried another one and had the same problem and spent hours on the phone with tech support. I also returned it and bought the Hawking HPS1... –Electronicsfrom Amazon.com

Works without problems Got one of these about a year ago, installed it with HP LJ 1100A and completely forgot it... The family has been printing for a year, no problems.
I'm using it with Linux CUPS servers, in IPP mode -- on a house network with a few dozen computers, Nagios reports 100% uptime. Deals well with printer power down mode, printer wakes up when a new print job is coming through. –Taneli I. Otalafrom Amazon.com

Waste of time & money Simply does not work.

Time out regularly with my HP1100 laser printer. May print half of a page 3 or 4 times before it finally prints the whole thing. Often have to print documents page by page.

Does not work at all with my canon i560 - just won't see that it is there. –Matthew Ducarfrom Amazon.com
