Business projectors need to have bright output and contrast levels for good viewing in dimly lit large rooms and auditoriums. Keep in mind that matching the resolution of the projector with the computer you are using it with reduces the need for image scaling and produces the best picture.

Also, consider the weight of the model if portability is required. Additonal zoom lens for higher range of display and a portable screen may also be needed, along with cables and remote controls for presentations.

Business projectors are usually higher in price than home theater projectors because of these requirements.

DLP (Digital Light Processors) projectors offer the high resolution (with less pixelation) and contrast brightness required for high definition images. There can be a problem with a "rainbow effect", however, where each color can be seen individually on the DLP display.

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projectors have better color saturation, sharper images, and lower prices than DLP models, but may have a "screen door" effect, where more pixelation is evident in the display.
