19 Apr 2009 Works Great, Good value for money This scanner is efficiently compact, the software installed smoothly (Windows XP) and works well. SilverFast SE works well; I find it fairly intuitive. As far as adjusting each slide before scanning, the autoadjust normally is sufficient, but the other adjustment options are sometimes needed. The "flip" and "rotate" feature makes it easy to readjust the orientation of the slide so you don't have to actually reset the slide in the frame if you get it in sideways or backwards. 12 Apr 2009 Excellent for Slide scanning The scanner generates good quality scans, and the default software works reasonably easily. It is a great improvement over the film scanning attachment to a normal page scanner that I was using before. Even under- and over-exposed slides can mostly be brought into reasonably good shape. High resolution scanning is quite slow (though this may be partly because my USB connection is only USB1), but good scans for display on a monitor are quick enough to be convenient. –Peter D. 04 Apr 2009 High quality images but bad color reproduction I have had this scanner for about two years. I bought it when I started doing film photography as part of a class I was taking at a local college. I had many slides from class, mostly Fujifilm Velvia 100 taken with a Nikon N90 and a Voigtlander Bessa R3M.

The 7200DPI resolution of this scanner is very high. It is almost overkill with 35mm film. The quickscan option is nice and fast and once you get the hang of centering the slides the workflow is quick. Auto crop is pretty much hit... –Zachary Karpinskifrom Amazon.com
