Great technology, but expensive
I place one of these into my (first version) MacPro. It requires an expensive 58 dollar tray to install correctly.
I used a Raptor for my first drive and the Intel for my second drive, leaving slots 3 and 4 for older Raptors I had lying around.
I was surprised to see that I could use Boot Camp to put Vista on the Intel AS LONG as it was in slot 2 and NOT being used as a primary drive as well.
Well I have to say, I have never been as impressed with Vista as I am now. It lo...

Satiated...
-Run my 160 as an external OS for the G5 via Firewire 800 and it runs like it's suppose to run... lightning quick. It's going to be great when the price becomes more reasonable and the volumes become larger. Still can't find an internal cradle or controller but I've not really looked for it.
-If waiting and waiting for crap to catch up with what you're doing is your thing, by all means pass on it. But if you've got slightly more money than brains and can clock time in seconds and millisec...

SSD still have a long way to go with Pricing ,Hardware and Windows
I bought this SSD for my ThinkPad T61p running windows vista 64bit Ultimate 4Gb ram instead of a 7200rpm 160GB HD ,instalation was a smooth very fast (you will need a fresh windows installation can't Ghost your HD),i defragmented the drive after every installation (windows ,office,Autocad,Photoshop..) working within windows i can feel the difference in speed however i was disappointed to find out that the MAX read speed i can achieve on my laptop is 95MB/sec (on HD tune Test) after some research...
