29 Apr 2009 Great HD recording quality The drivers still need to be perfected with this product but overall it works pretty well. I'm primarily using the product with PVR software. I had some problems recording a few shows on a timer. The tuners had a few problems switching from a recorded digital HD show to a recorded analog show. The analog recording ended up recording all blue video from time to time(the whole show would be lost). 12 Apr 2009 Fine for HDTV, useless for normal TV I bought this card to replace an Angel dual-tuner card that came with a Dell machine. The Angel card never worked properly and even after YEARS of haggling with Dell, never could get a replacement that worked.

I don't normally record in HDTV; the quality isn't as important to me as disk space for recordings. I'm using Windows Media Center 2005 and it recognizes the HD tuners just fine, but not the analog tuners. 10 Apr 2009 Too many problems I bought this to replace a dual-tuner analog (NTSC) card, in preparation for the digital (ATSC) transition in June. I still needed analog capability since I have some in-house equipment that broadcasts analog. The dual hybrid tuners of the WinTV-HVR-2250 seemed to be just what I needed.

When it works, it works well. But the drivers are problematic. I experienced random lockups when changing channels which could only be resolved by restarting the Media Center receiver service or reboot... –Alan Scottfrom Amazon.com
