Disappointing
I was disappointed with the sims 2 pets when I got it. I am a big animal lover, but this just isn't worth it. When I got the game, I didn't know that I couldn't control the pets. You can teach them tricks, but they never come in handy. I wanted to make a kitten but I couldn't because you can't make baby animals, the adult animals have to mate, and you can't control that. It gets really annoying, and all they pretty much do is sleep, eat, and walk around....

Too Cute!
Pets is a great addition to the Sims 2 experience. You can adopt your pet or "make" your own. They need to be fed, given attention, love, etc. They learn tricks, play with other pets, bring in mice from the yard and destroy furniture if bored, just like the real world. Very fun!

Lots of fun! Get the stuff packs.
This game is truly amazing--especially in the behaviors of the people and the pets. Very lifelike! My only disappointment is the very limited selection of furniture and accessories to choose from to fill the houses. I would definitely recommend getting the stuff packs to supplement the game. There are sites online where you can download new objects, but I have had a lot of difficulty getting most of them to install into the game on my mac.
