First let me clarify that I pay for my games and own a copy of this game. However the version they game me never worked, stuttered, I had to re-install it after their "patch" messed it up even worse to the point that it wouldn't work at all. Finally secure rom decided I had attempted to install the game to many times... Best BioWare game to date
Without much info about the game going in (except that I knew it took place in space and was like a shooter with rpg elements) I didn't really know what to expect until I bought it. This game is superb if you're the type who likes sci-fi rpg's, shooters, and a movie like experience. Like any game it does have its drawbacks. I personally didn't like the added effects like film grain and motion blur, but luckily you can take those off. Another thing I didn't like was there were not enough planets ...

Steam version = securom free
There was no way I was going to buy this thing loaded with securom. I had to wait for the steam version to be able to get this with reasonable DRM. Hopefully EA has gotten the point that it doesn't matter how good their games are, if they load invasive DRM software it won't be going on my computer.
