Visually beautiful and lots of fun
Been playing Sacred2 now since Nov (review date: 3/19/09), and am still having a blast. I enjoy exploring this fantasy realm and appreciate it's open approach, allowing me to stray from the core storyline and just have fun. Richly detailed in the design touches, you know when you enter a town if it is human or elven or orcish by the architecture and layout. awful set up.
First, the DMR authentication process, requires you open port on your firewall just to even play the game in single player mode. That right to play in single player mode you need to ports on your firewall. Now if that part wasn't bad enough, when you run there current patch, it's fails. The instruction given by there support, is too, first delisence the product (over board DMR), then uninstall, then run a clean up agent. Shut down all running apps on your computer and reinstall. Old School/New Tech
I've put about 100 hours into the game and haven't even played 3 of the character classes. I, like many reviewers, was experiencing random lockups. I did some research and discovered that NVIDIA Physx were the problem. I disabled this feature and the game has yet to crash. However, I still have random sound issues (but at least the game doesn't lock). With that said, I love this game. The game play just feels right.
