The features that are available in this program that are specific to NEF are incredible and not found in any other software. It is also very affordable especially when compared to programs like Photoshop CS. It has many of the same editing features at a fraction of the cost. 16 Apr 2009 Valuable addition to my toolchest I had always resisted shooting in the Nikon raw format (.nef files) since 1) the files saved were very large, and 2) I didn't understand the advantages that would be gained by using this format. While this software doesn't address item 1 it certainly made me gain an appreciation for item 2.

16 Apr 2009 USER FRIENDLY/PROFESSIONAL RESULTS When I hear Nikon Capture NX2, I immediately think U-Point Technology. By far, this is the most used and important feature I found in the image editing software by Nikon. This program is easy to understand, (especially when Nikon also offers free tutorials on line), and fast with the emphasis on FAST.
