Noisy fan runs 100% of the time.
Just bought my SMART1500LCD yesterday and it's going back tomorrow. The cooling fans run 100% of the time, even with no load connected whatsoever. If you're in a noisy dust-free environment, I guess this wouldn't be a problem. But in a home office, forget it (for me).
Service costs? Ouch.
I got about two and a half years of decent service out my SMART1500LCD. But if it goes south, as mine did today (shut off intermittently, failed self-test by shutting down because the battery was on its last legs), here's what you can look forward to:| elapsed time: | 41.6ms |
