Vanna's Yarns
I find this to be excellent yarn, far softer than other acrylic yarns. It is not harsh or scratchy at all. I have made several items and the feel is so much softer. The colors are fabulous. Just another acrylic
Lion Brand recently released a new line of yarns, named after and represented by game show model Vanna White, who has written about crochet. While these yarns come in some attractive colors, the texture is no better than in other, somewhat cheaper, acrylic yarns. Acrylics tend to have a harsher feel than other yarn fibers; in my experience, body and washability are their strength. Vanna's is OK, but nothing special for the price.

Lion Brand's new yarn
Vanna's Choice is one of Lion Brand's newer yarns, and its range of colors is excellent. Because it's acrylic, it isn't suitable for felting, and garments made from it will not be as warm as those made of wool or wool blends. It's also a bit more expensive than one of Lion's comparable older brands, Wool-Ease. Vanna's tends to knit up with good body, and can be washed and dried by machine, resisting shrinkage or fading.
