Cd-player broke after very light use
This is a bad product that does not deserve the Sony name. I had my player a few months before the CD player started acting funny which then broke. It looks brand new as it basically is but is now worthless....

don't buy, junk
To bad I didn't see all these reviews before I bought this unit. Problem is the CD player stopped playing disc in about 6 months. In realty since we didn't use it much, I would say it played 20 CDs before the CD player failed. This is disappointing since I paid close to $180 for this unit. I expected more from SONY. I'm staying away from SONY electronics, whatever they used to do right, they are no longer doing it.
Place Fist Here and Pound
I really did like this product, back when it actually worked. Then I started getting the infamous "No Disc" message. I really think Sony should do something about this unit. I don't know why they just didn't make it to say "Place Fist Here and Pound" instead of "No Disc." That really is what it makes you feel like. I finally got fed up and went to Best Buy for a replacement product. I bought a Sony CFD-S350, and it works fine. I guess the E series was just a really bad design or something.
