31 Aug 2008 Great radio I bought this radio with its features in mind. It has the ability to let you plug in an auxillary music source, and plays MP3s. I have used it both ways and as an ordinary radio. It has great sound and contrary to another review has plenty of volume. It is a bit large, doesn't have a remote, and the ac adapter is heavy. 20 Aug 2008 boombox ok so this will sound wierd but I got this for my dog who is afraid of thunder. We had an old boom box that wore out so decided to get a new one. He says to tell you that this one is AOK. We also needed one for when out power goes out - which is often. So we are very happy with this purchase. - both dog and family. What more can you ask for???!!!

Ok so I did not tell you that when it thunders we try to get him to go to the basement - turn up the boom box on a classical station and tu... –P. Hornfrom Amazon.com
15 Aug 2008 Not as robust as I hoped I bouhgt this unit to use in less than ideal environments (outside, garage, around wet or dusty environments). The unit is heavier than I thought but it doesnn't feel especially sturdy. The plastic seems like it will break easily. Battery life is poor (maybe 8 hours on 6 "D" cells) and the sound volume is on the weak side. The sound quality, however, is good. For the price, I feel that it's overall performance is just not good enough. I considered returning it and I wish I had. If you are ... –Paul P. Moraesfrom Amazon.com
