Have used on aggressive mountain bike trails (mounting method is solid) and on the road. Have also used it to navigate with - this is not going to give you Car GPS functionality. I returned to cycling after a 20-year hiatus last year. Being a dyed-in-the-wool sucker for gadgets, I had to get the Garmin 305 as my bike computer.
