oregon 300
The Oregon 300 is a great paper saving machine. Love this for geocaching, giving on road as well as off road directions, seeing all of the description, hints & logs. It does seem that Garmin could have made it easier to go from page to page without always going back. The backlight quits working quckly even though the batteriers still have a lot of life in them. I'll try lithium to see if that helps. Overall
I would recommend it....

disappointing
I waited for months to be able to afford to buy this unit, I have been geocacing for several years and have been anxious to upgrade my Garmin GPS60 and do paperless caching with one device. The Oregon navigates fine, generally as accurate as the 60. The screen is not as bright, but certainly readable in normal outside light. Great GPS!
Had a Garmin 60CSx, but wanted a unit to find Wherigo geocaches. Very happy with this GPS! Took a little getting use to since I was so familar with the 60, but now I like it better. Still learning all of the features, but this is a great unit and like the touch screen. Can't go wrong with this unit or any in the family.
p.s. Add the Street maps card from Garmin and you can use the unit to route on the road to the next geocache! *** highly recommended ***
