04 Nov 2008 Works great for me with no external antenna Others have covered the pros and cons of this device pretty well. I just thought I would mention that I use it in my car with no external antenna and it works great, with very little to no loss of reception. I live in South Florida, which might have something to do with it....I'm not sure.

Be aware that if you put it in the docking station, the internal antenna cuts off, so you must use an external antenna with it docked.

03 Nov 2008 once you can get reception it works fine this device is not at all intended for indoor use unless you're using the home docking station. Which isn't very loud and the quality of the sound could be better. Overall I enjoy the service provided but I just wish the reception was a little better. –Benjamin J. Wimettfrom Amazon.com
02 Nov 2008 Great Blackberry size pocket receiver. Not the better, old, Pioneer XM-TO-GO. Previously when on the road in rental cars, the XM-TO-GO could be thrown on the dashboard and the modulator would work with the FM radio. Now the modulator is only available when installed with the car kit option. Perhaps sometime soon, a plug shorting the correct pins enabling the modulator to be used, will be available. A software update for the modulator function would be nice.
