15 May 2009 A great player at a great price I was waiting to see which format would replace DVDs...BLU RAY or HD DVD...BLU RAY won and now it came down to price...well, the prices dropped to levels I could no longer pass on. I researched many-o-players and settled on Panasonic's DMP-BD35K. The first aspect you'll notice is how slim and stylish this model is...compared to the boxy over-sized units of their competitors this model easily fits in to the modern entertainment centers. 10 May 2009 Great player, when it works Beware if you plan to run this player through a receiver. At least if the receiver isn't a Panasonic.

This really is a good player, though slow on getting blu-rays started. The problem is that it can't seem to successfully negotiate the HDMI connection with my just-introduced Yamaha receiver, at least not reliably. The player works reliably if I connect it directly to my Panasonic LCD TV. All of my other HDMI devices work fine with the Yamaha. 05 May 2009 Nothing short of excellent! Six months have now passed since we received our BD35K and we haven't had anything to complain about with this equipment. We are happy with the set-up and find it to play each and every Blu-Ray we have put into it. With some rental disks, the scratches can cause the picture and sound to freeze and break up a little, but as we can tell that's no fault of the player.
