05 May 2009 Don't waste your money I recently purchased COBY TF-DVD 8503 portable DVD player from Amazon. I had it freight forwarded through ARAMEX to my overseas address. I opened the package and tried to play some DVDs on it after charging it. I was greatly disappointed that for every DVD I tried, I hear first a loud hissing sound as the DVD spins, I get a message on the screen that it is " Loading", and then the DVD stops spinning and I get a message of No Disc. 27 Apr 2009 Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Great for the kids, great for the car and great for the traveling hubby who lays over at a hotel on a daily basis. I love love love that they send the car kit, two sets of headphones, and the CABLES for plugging the thing into a TV. My husband plugs this into the TV at his hotel and can watch all the DVD's he wants on the TV. He said the audio is what you'd expect... not surround but he doesn't have to have subtitles on. 20 Apr 2009 It's been great! We are all enjoying this portable dvd player. I use it to put in my exercise dvds and my children have used it on car trips. I love the head phones and the way the screen swivels around and can be flat. The color and sound quality are fine. I would recommend this product. We are occassional users so this is just right.

I purchased this product based on the other reviews. I was looking for something cheaper at Target but am glad I spent a little more and got the extra features. –Maryland Crabfrom Amazon.com
