Great for when you don't have a receiver
I have a plasma with limited A/V connections and this product is exactly what I needed. I have speakers attached to my plasma and didn't want to get a receiver for surround sound so I needed a product that would allow for more connections. Works great and I like the extra connections in the front for quick hookup like a camcorder. It's not small though; if you need something more discrete, there are smaller A/V switchers out there. This is about the size of a slim DVD player....

This isn't a true 4x2
This isn't a true 4x2 matrix switch. It does not work to select one input to go to both outputs at the same time. You can but the signal gets messed up.
