great value
I picked mine up at on sale Best Buy for $600 (before tax), and what a deal! I've got mine set to a 60 inch screen setting from about 10 feet away, and it looks fantastic. Air filter is easy to clean, and is compatible with most ceiling mounts. Has all sorts of connectivities and is great for work (laptop) and home entertainment. Works best in a low-light room. Standing within 2 feet of screen can reveal DLP grid, but completely invisible from normal viewing distances....

A great projector
I built my Home Theater Room over a year ago, and did a lot of research and settled on this projector. If I could do it all over again, I would again pick this same projector. After a year of steady use (an hour a day, average) the projector is as bright, clear and as fresh from the box. At 2 to 3 thousand hour bulb life, this projector is going to last another 5 to 6 years. best projector regardless of price
It cost me 1800.00. Picture is movie theater quality. Color and contrast (black/whites) is better than any projector even ones with higher specs. I use the bare wall for screen and its not even completely white wall. 100 inch wide screen and its better pic than most flat panel TVs. Make sure u connect using HDMI cable for best result. But composite connection is good too. Check this review http://www.projectorcentral.com/mitsubishi_hc3000.htm
