Sony has harnessed the sound of 6 speakers in their 3.1 channel HTCT100 sound bar with sub-woofer set. The sound bar acts as a center speaker which radiates three 50 watt directional channels, and together with the subwoofer which has 100 watts, there is a total of 250. Bang For Buck I bought this item over 6 months ago. I've compared all the soundbars on the market at the time, and this was the way to go for sound/price. As for inputs, it suited me perfectly as I only use HDMI (PS3,TV,PC). Great sound, but don't expect 5.1 surround...

check out the avsforum .com site and search for the Sony HTCT. A lot of great support and information on this piece of equipment. DaWriter has great settings to boost the performance of the unit.

excellent choice Sony HTCT100 Sound Bar with Sub-Woofer - Black
The Sony Soundbar is an excellent choice to enhance the audio with a flat screen TV, especially one with rear pointing speakers. It took all of 15 minutes to connect using the included digital audio cable, takes up little space and creates an excellent room filling sound. Good alternative if you dont want to run wires I recently bought this system replacing my old Sony HT system with 5 speakers. I had wires crossing the room from under my rug and speaker stands for two surround speakers across the TV which was very inconvinient
