Verg good for a portable recording unit
I love this unit....very accessible and easy to use. I also own a 16 track recorder that has been sitting on the shelf collecting dust ever since I got the Micro BR. With the Micro BR, You just turn it on and start recording and once you're comfortable with what you created, it just takes a few minutes to convert it to an MP3 (128kbps, 192kbps) or a wav file. The onboard effects are pretty good and of course you can use any other effect boxes, drums, synth, etc as an input.
SD card obsolete
1 g sd cards are virtually impossible to find and they will only get harder to find. I'm sure this is a nice unit, but I'm sending my back and waiting for a new model of this recorder that will be of use in the future. If you do find SD cards that can be used with this unit, it will probably be on line and you'll pay more for shipping than the card is worth. Come on, Boss/Rolland get with it. It's the 21 century.

Great way to get your songs recorded
I am so happy with this product. I can record myself playing guitar at any location. I was recording within seconds of taking it out of the box. Its easy to use. I only used the manual briefly. It has over a 100 different drum patterns to play around with and program. It also has 80 guitar effects like Metal Core (just like the Boss pedal), Smooth Lead, and my favorite, Moonage (for those strange Pink Floyd sci fi sounds.)| elapsed time: | 40.4ms |
