Great Concept...Poor Sound Quality No matter what their site and support groups say about different codec system they use to make their lower bit rates sound okay on Slacker Portable...don't believe it. I bought two and returned both....it was tinny and hallow, and the second unit was no better. To load all that music, they use too low a bit rate for even their codec system and you will get tinny music no matter what. It's been a long battle to find the right personal portable radio but here it goes: Summary:
Xm & Sirius great but personal portable radio models are way too expensive for the technology you get. Slacker G2 good concept but too new with inadequate support and bugs not worked out. iPhone/iTouch I am the happiest. Read on for more detail:

I first started with satellite radio xm to be exact.

Easy Access to music! Here are some of my obseervations about the Slacker G2. I've had a unit for about 4 days.

I was interested in the unit primarily for bike classes I do at 24HrFit. The ability to set up a station to play a particular type of music seemed ideal. I used CDs for 4 or 5 years in bike classes, but CDs get old. I had to constantly buy new music, burn a new CD to keep the classes current and fresh.
