Works fine
My 4th Gen. iPod is a few years old and it completely stopped working (even plugged in). It's too old to be under warranty. Rather than spending an arm and a leg to have it professionally repaired, I bought this battery. The battery was fairly easy to install. It comes with a tool to crack open the case and unscrew a couple of screws inside. If you have trouble cracking open the case, just keep trying to get the tool in there. It'll work. Disappointing battery life
I was really pleased about being able to replace my iPod's battery so easily, but after about ten months this battery started holding a charge for only a couple of hours use. I'm going to probably replace it with the same product but obviously I'm disappointed with my first experience with it.

Great Ipod Battery replacement
Gought 2 to replace batteries in a 40 GB HP Ipod and a 40 GB Ipod Photo. Both units were starting to shut down a lot and not hold a charge for long. Since replacing with these batteries. More endless hours of Ipod enjoyment.
