Panasonic RP-HC-55 Noise Cancelling Earbuds (Silver) The tube holding the battery/volume control/on-off switch is well placed between the longer thin wire from the mps player, and the thicker wires to the ear buds. The buds are quite comfortable - even though they look corny. The sound is quite good. The part I am wondering about is how much noise cancelling takes place. I also read the report in CR and since I used the headphones mostly on the train I liked the idea of blocking outside noise and listening to my music at a lower volume. They seem to block the outside noise admirably. My only gripe is the cord between the ear-buds and the battery pack is far too short to allow enough freedom of movement without the battery pack falling and pulling the ear-buds out of your ears. The cord should be at least another 12 inches longer.

I read the reviews before buying. Some good and some bad. One person said that they used the noise canceling all buy itself. I think he took his hearing aid out before this because when I tried just the noise canceling feature I heard everything just crisper. If you think that is bad when I tried them with the tv I heard a hissing sound like a tape deck makes and when I tried them on my phone it was even worse. My opinion is that the good reviews on this product is people trying to justify spend...
