Poor Quality
Sadly, I was very disappointed with this unit. Smartscan was very quick yet everytime it gave me frequencies already occupied. Northern Virginia has a lot of stations but 88.1 is clear where I live, never even offered it. Also, manual says it takes a few seconds, yet it took less than a second. !!!
ROAD TRIP IPOD
WHAT A GREAT PRODUCT. I LIKE LISTENING TO BOOKS ON MY IPOD AND THIS TERRIFIC PRODUCT ALLOWS ME TO LISTEN WHILE ON THE ROAD (NO COMMERCIALS - YEA!) IT BROADCASTS THROUGH MY FM RADIO IN A VERY CLEAR - NO STATIC - MANNER. I'D RECOMMEND THE GRIFFIN ROAD TRIP TO ANYONE WANTING TO EXPAND THEIR IPOD'S VERSATILITY.

a nice alternative to getting an ipod adapter installed
As long as you switch to European mode as other reviewers have stated, this is great. I bought it right before going on a roadtrip a month ago, and it did not disappoint. The sound quality was clear (not CD quality or anything, but about the quality of regular FM), and it charged my iPhone 3G which is a plus when most of the day is spent in the car. It is an excellent value.
