17 May 2009 Does what it says I can honestly say that this adapter would be a waste of money for the majority of Ipod users. The odds are that you simply will not need this. I recently bought an Ipod Touch 2G and my home shelf stereo, my work stereo, and my wall outlet charger all work without a problem. The only device I owned that used firewire charging was my car adapter, a USA SPEC PA11-HON2. In this one instance, the adapter works very well. 16 May 2009 Works perfectly. Easy to use. It's a great little product and one of the cheapest on the market. Your accessory cable plugs into it and it plugs into your iPod / iPhone. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone that needs to charge their device in the car.

That said, I ended up realizing that I didn't really want that capability. My biggest issue is that my iPod Nano 4g doesn't turn off when I turn off the car, so it wears the battery down if I forget to unplug it. I was hoping this device might fix that problem, but it ... –Brianfrom Amazon.com
03 May 2009 It works, but it comes unplugged too easily I use this with our card iPod adapter which gives the annoying error messages with iPod touch 2G and new nanos. It does an excellent job of eliminating those annoying messages.

But it is a large plug and it doesn't have a locking clip like some iPod plugs. So it comes disconnected very often. It also has trouble fitting into the dock connector through many cases as it is much larger than a standard. –Richard J. Lawlerfrom Amazon.com
