Great Scanner!
I bought this for Christmas as a present for my wife, we live in a very rural area and thought this would be great to keep tabs on the emergencies in the area. We also own a restaurant with delivery and thought it might help us avoid traffic jams for our delivery drivers. It has done both.
Some of the reviews have concerns with the ease of programing, pretty simple and straight forward...if you can work basic electronics you should have no problem using this scanner...very imformative and...

Headphone Output is Terrible
Returning it as the headphone output is very bad, otherwise very nice model. Sad I can't use it.

Good buy
The only negative I can think of is the lack of a sleep function, which would have been intuitive given it does have an alarm function. Other than that, the scanner is quality. I've noticed no bleedover from the WX channels. Like other reviewers, I found it a bit difficult to get the hang of programming the channels, but did eventually figure it out, with the help of the manual. I really like being able to categorize signal types (air, fire, police, CB, etc) by number and then select which ones ...
