Just Right
I find this flashlight to be the perfect companion to my night sky viewing. The adjustable intensity allows me to decrease the brightness as my eyes adjust to the darkness. I would have liked the ability to switch between white and red LED's, as the white light would have been handy setting things up. I used a (2AA) battery mag-light with a red lens before and found it to be too bright.

Cheaply made and very bulky for what it is
I recently purchased this flashlight and have been very disappointed. The light from the unit is strong enough for my needs but I'd prefer the small light on my key chain over this product, although Celestron's unit does have a nice brightness control. Orion's light may be a little better for my needs because it also has a white light for all other non-stargazing applications. For those of us who haul their telescopes across dark fields in the middle of the night this light will not help get ...

Telescope Flashlight
This is a very nice red beam flashlight. If I would add anything it should be a little brighter. Well worth the money though.
