One more caution
Yes, this unit isn't that great, but I needed a humidifier and couldn't find anything better after a long search. I have found one more problem for users: the handle on each tank is only cemented on and can separate if you carry a filled tank by the handle. When this happened to me the tank fell to the ground, broke into many pieces, and a gallon of water was on the floor. Great high output, large capacity humidifier
I first bought a QuietCare for a small server room that was suffering from low humidity. It was able to keep the humidity around 30% and needed refilling only twice a week, even in the low humidity months of Winter. It worked so well that I bought one for my house. It's quiet enough that I was able to place it in our main living space, and the sound is noticeable only when the house is quiet and I'm near the unit. Honeywell Humidifier
We have used the humidifier around the clock. It has saved us from the constant dry air we have during the winter due to the pellet stove and summer due to the dry air. What a great product!
