Very Impressive!
I had used an older Bissell carpet cleaner and was impressed with it's performance, especially over the Rug Doctor rentals. But this new one even further impressed me. It may also have had something to do with their Tough Stain Precleaner which I have also used before. Anyway I had year old food spill stains and assorted pet stains on light beige 15-year old carpet. Liberal use of the precleaner and my new Bissell 9200 left the carpets looking like new and removed ALL of the old stains....

Low marks
I had a simpler model (a Bissell 2070 - conmparable to the current 2080) that worked wonderfully for several years. One of the plastic components that was stressed by trying to recline the machine without having the pedal completely compressed broke recently and the machine no longer stayed balanced to clean properly. I bought the Pro Heat 2x model largely because it was the only model available in the store. After one use, I will be returning it. It was very heavy and a bit unwieldy and did...

No stars for Bissell!
This is the worse carpet cleaner I have ever used. It is cumbersome and very difficult to clean. The absolute worse thing is that it does not suck up the water and/or solution very well, if at all! I called Bissell customer service. They are not nice and they are not helpful. Basically, if you don't like the performance you are stuck! They expected me to drive over two hours to an authorized repair center! Ridiculous. I will never do business with Bissell again.
