Great fan after exorcisim
The fan is easy to install, it was my first time doing a ceiling fan so i was pretty happy with that.
Ran into a snag after it installed. The first night we were sleeping (its in our bedroom), the lights turned on by themselves at 4am. Next night, 2am. Here's the key: BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT - change the dipswitches fromt he default, Trim the antennae, and trim the excess power cables. Excellent value
I was skeptical reading some of the other reviews after seeing several people complain about the fan randomly turning itself on. Fortunately, I haven't had this problem.
This fan has been absolutely silent since day one. On low, it moves enough air to be useful but there's no sound whatsoever. It really moves air on high, but there's no noise from the motor (only wind noise) or any unbalancing issues to cause buzzing or wobbling. Luck of the draw
I ordered two of these fans for my bedroom. One works perfectly, the other one is possessed. The light and/or fan turn on and off at all hours of the night. We've tried changing the switches and still had the same problem. It's a pain to have the lights constantly turn on several times at night when you are trying to sleep. I've looked at replacement remotes since replacing 2 fans would be a pain, but the reviews for the receiver/remote are not good at all with a lot of the "posessed" ceiling fa...
