The Patton PX405 is the best fan on the market, no exceptions. It is solidly built of metal and durable rubber mounts for a smooth sound. It has three speeds; the lowest barely makes any sound at all, while the high speed blows as hard as you could want in a home. I have used fans since I was a child as a sleep aid. Garage Fan Running Strong
These fans last forever! I've had one for a couple years now that runs just about everyday for a good while and would recommend it to anyone. They're not the most silent of fans, but they're not extremely loud either.
