This is the second Vornado we've bought. Our gas heating bill was really high, so we figured we'd turn the thermostat down and get another Vornado. It really warms up the room pretty quickly. It's a bit noisy but works well.

Love 'em and Hate 'em
These heaters are fantastic when they work, but they break. I bought two at roughly the same time and the on off switch broke on each within two weeks (of each other). The downside of these is the customer service. They will not sell you a replacement switch which should only cost two or three dollars or even give you information about where you could get a replacement switch. Your only option is to send the unit in for about $30. Mine has a Jun05 serial number, so maybe they have incorpora...

Vornado Heaters in Yachts
Being a yacht captain, we need heat in various areas of the boat such as in engine rooms and bilge compartments. This heater will turn off if it falls over. Air circulation is critical to prevent mildew and condensation. The heater air flow design is perfect. I have about 12 of these heaters on other yachts I take care of. Also, the Vornado fans are on the yachts as well.
