Noisy (and poorly packaged) I had two problems with this unit.

1) The manufacturer's packaging is inadequate for shipping (not Amazon's fault). I received two units (the second a replacement for the first), both were damaged in transit, and both have been returned. The first, the glass door was shattered, I suspect because the shelves were not well anchored inside (ironically, the manufacturer's handbook warns against shipping with loose shelves - they should take their own advice). Whine cooler Overall this is a nice looking product and well thought out. North Americans tend to drink wine at a slightly higher temperature than is ideal, I guess because our room temperature is 5 or 6 degrees higher than in Europe.

I have had this cooler for almost a year. Right now, this unit is working like a charm but it has gone through periods of making a strange whining noise - probably the fan as I think that is the only moving part.

Wine chiller Quiet, unobtrusive. Keeps the wine at a constant temperature. What's not to like. Now I understand why they say to keep red wines at 60 to 65 degrees. Really brings out the flavor. –Kinsekdfrom Amazon.com
