Works... but barely... Yes, it does what it says it will.

But...

The interface is horrible and has to be reset every time you put the SD card back in, it records way too much information, even when you set the motion sensitivity intelligently, and at least one of the channels totally hosed up my home's wireless internet connection. Also, you have to be really finicky about exactly where you place the unit, and the output is also touchy. It is built horribly

Problems, problems and more problems Swann Red Alert looked like a good product, but more than 6 weeks after purchase, I had yet to have it working. After 7 contacts to Swann by e-mail and telephone I was finally issued authorization to return it for exchange which I did the same day. I finally received the fixed unit 3 weeks after that. The Red Alert Wireless System seems to be a good system when it works, but Swann's Support and Customer Service is lacking until you really get their attention. –Gary Rehakfrom Amazon.com
