15 May 2009 Does not work on laminate floors I used this on my laminate floors and it left streaks all over them, even when I tried going over them again and buffing with a towel. I began in a section that had never been cleaned before (as the floors are relatively new), so there could not have been residue from a prior cleaning solution -- and even if there had been, if you believe the info-mercial, it should have cut through that.

15 May 2009 Shark vs. Bissell So I brought home both the Shark and the Bissell steam mops to test them both out on my hardwood floors and see which one I liked better. Here is what I thought:

Shark-

Pros:

~ You can see that it generates a lot of steam

~ Very easy and simple to assemble

~ Doesn't leave too much water behind (but doesn't clean anyways so I don't know if that's really a pro)
Cons:

14 May 2009 Worth The Price I purchased the Shark Steam Mop 3 days ago. It is worth the price for me.

I have an allergic reaction that causes painful itching. It has not been determined what the source is but I have it in my basement and at my office at work. it might be dust mites and I know to animal fur of some animals (dogs, cats).
