Item was as described---However, the mailbox had a DENT in in when it arrived. Did not send it back and worked our dent as best I could. Better packing could have prevented the item from having a dent when it arrived.
Review of Solar Jumbo Size Steel Rural Mailbox
This is a nice looking black mailbox that I think will last a long time. The steel of which it is constructed is not a soft steel. It appears to be high-carbon like spring steel. My only reservation is the plastic latch and flag. However, the latch is very substantial, apparently made of plastic similar to that of which automotive bumpers are made. Standard Mailbox
This is a standard mailbox, nothing special. It's not made of thick material and it's not really stout, but it works to get mail. Unfortunately the flag is made of plastic.
