Excellent Product for MY use.
My Craftsman electric (corded) edger/trimmer went kaput so I was in the market for a new one. I came upon this Black & Decker Grasshog and decided to give it a try. I was going to try the WORX model but the Grasshog came with 2 batteries which meant convenience so I went for it. There's also a rebate for a free 3rd battery (which can be used for other battery powered Grasshog tools).

This product is great it is very light, it is so nice not to have to deal with the normal vibration you get from gas trimmers.i dont ever bother the neighbors because it's so quiet, but it would be nice if the batteries would last a little longer.

Not a workhorse.
Bought this unit as a 'Factory Reconditioned' unit for $50.00 plus S+H, and it works just fine, BUT...the same design corded electric that it replaces is much stronger for both trimming and edging, with greater cutting power and a higher rate of RPMs as well. The 18V battery doesn't last for all the trimming/edging--about 800 linear feet in all, so I'll use my metal bladed, corded Heavy Duty Grass Hog for the edging and the cordless 18V unit for only trimming. Would I buy the 18V cordless again...
