Schleich Nativity
My daughter loves this set and it works well with all of her exisitng Schleich animals (although as previously mentioned the characters run on the small side). We add an additional piece daily and she looks forward to re-arranging the set since she is allowed to play with it with little fear of breaking. The kings in particular have the usual high level of Schleich detailing and paint application. There is a Schleich Castle Stable that works well with this set as a backdrop.
Wonderful Nativity set
We purchased this nativity set with the primary purpose that it could be displayed under the tree AND that our daughter could play/interact with the nativity itself. While we've only had it for one year, she loved it! I especially like the quality of the pieces.

Nobody competes with Schleich
We've bought Schleich knights/horses/dragons (for our two wonderfully wild boys who are very hard on their toys) and the quality and detail is outstanding. When I saw that Schleich also made a nativity set, I immediately ordered one. Even the box and the packaging are just extremely well made. I unhesitatingly give Schleich my highest recommendation!
