Typical G-Shock durability and reliability
Anyone who has ever owned a G-Shock watch knows they are built like a tank. My "Mudman" was running when I got it, and after figuring out the instructions (they are a bit obtuse), I had it autodetect the time and date. Worked perfectly! One thing I did notice was this G-Shock was a bit lighter than the previous ones I had owned. And the watchband seemed a bit thinner and more flexible than previous G-Shock watches. I assume the lighter watch weight is due to advancements in watch design. I hope ...

An Awesome Piece of Geekery
But also a practical, rugged tool. I'm a huge fan of this watch. I have a 1/2 dozen or so watches I rotate for various occasions, and was in the market for a practical dress down watch. I have a chunky Swatch that was doing this duty, however it is analogue, somewhat inaccurate, not lit or louminous, only water resist and the leather strap has a tendency to get smelly after sweating.
Great all around watch
Took a while to get used to the watch band, several of my watches have nylon webbing for a band, but none the less a sturdy band. That b eing my only serious complaint - that there is no strap adapter or a way to use a different strap altogether. | elapsed time: | 30.8ms |
