Typical G-Shock durability and reliability
Anyone who has ever owned a G-Shock watch knows they are built like a tank. My "Mudman" was running when I got it, and after figuring out the instructions (they are a bit obtuse), I had it autodetect the time and date. Worked perfectly! One thing I did notice was this G-Shock was a bit lighter than the previous ones I had owned. And the watchband seemed a bit thinner and more flexible than previous G-Shock watches. I assume the lighter watch weight is due to advancements in watch design. I hope ...

An Awesome Piece of Geekery
But also a practical, rugged tool. I'm a huge fan of this watch. I have a 1/2 dozen or so watches I rotate for various occasions, and was in the market for a practical dress down watch. I have a chunky Swatch that was doing this duty, however it is analogue, somewhat inaccurate, not lit or louminous, only water resist and the leather strap has a tendency to get smelly after sweating.
I was in the market for a rugged Caiso G-Shock and this model proved to be the one I wanted. Maintenan...

Great all around watch
Took a while to get used to the watch band, several of my watches have nylon webbing for a band, but none the less a sturdy band. That b eing my only serious complaint - that there is no strap adapter or a way to use a different strap altogether.
The watch performs well, receives signal easily regardless of where I'm at throughout the day and charges what little it needs to when I'm working outside.
Water resistance is great, Its been down to eighty feet on working dives with no loss...
