Too shallow but works great
As others have noted, this is a great bowl for mixing large batches and for marinating if you don't have a square glass pan. The shallowness comes in handy for microwaving. Also this is perfect for large doses of potato salad and scalloped potatoes for holidays. If you need the same size but taller, get the Anchor brand, but note that Anchor does not put lips on their bowls and the lack of a lip makes their 4-qt. bowl difficult to handle.

can be used for just about every kitchen or serving need
The name Pyrex says it all. I only buy US made cookware different brands, it costs me a only few bucks more for complete peace of mind: US made products do not contain substances that are proven harmful to your health. This is a very large bowl, I ordered it for marinating BBQ meats and making pizza dough. Now that I received it I see it looks so nice that it can be used for serving salads, fruits and party mixes/snack when you have guests in the house. Cleaning is a breeze. I ordered 2 more of ...
