engineers don't live in the real world
I wanted a heavy pot that could go in the dishwasher. This pot is all that and performs very well even for slow simmering. But look where they put the rivets! I didn't notice until it arrived, but how stupid! They are in the way when you stir, collect food, and are difficult to clean. I am constantly reminded that engineers do not live in the real world. If they had ever had to use a pot like this they would have put the rivets up higher or better yet embedded them under a smooth surface....

Terrific Stockpot!
I got this stockpot because it was on sale when I bought the matching 3qt saucepan and my 6qt Calphalon non-stick pot was showing its age. I was worried about it being huge and not being able to store it, but it's not that much bigger in size than the 6qt pot. I've used it for everything from chili to pasta to soup and chicken stock.
