24 Apr 2009 very sharp I use this to slice apples for my food dehydrator. It works pretty well because the blade is so sharp, but it doesn't seem to slice the food to a consistent thickness. 10 Apr 2009 You cant go wrong at this price - very sharp! I have to be honest and say that I did not expect much. What I got was way way more than I thought it would be. It is great. The blade is absurdly sharp and even managed to make carpaccio of fairly soft tomatoes. Firm foods like Apple, potato and Jicama come out awesomely. For vegan / raw style dish assembly this thing is amazing - the textures of fine sliced vegetables is awesome. Clean up is great as well - slam it in the dishwasher. 16 Mar 2009 Great slicer, but I like the double-edged version better. It slices just about any fruit or vegetable with ease. As other reviews have noted, it will also slice your fingertips with ease if you're not careful with it. The ceramic blade is ridiculously sharp - the reason it works so well - and holds its edge for a very long time. The only downside is the handle. Holding it with the handle while slicing doesn't work very well for me.
