Great for kids.
I bought these for my toddler since I wanted to get away from melamine. With the melamine plates, if I wanted to warm her food in the microwave I would have to first dish the food onto a regular plate, then put it on her melamine plate, thus dirtying up two plates for one person. Not very efficient. So I made the plunge to corelle dishware, and the Hot Dot pattern was the most appealing to kids in my opinion. The pattern is definitely fun, and while it's not as eye-popping as melamine would ...

cute plates
I love my new plates. The dots are awesome. The plates are very strong. Even though 1 plate was broken during shipping. I still kept them because I like them and it was going to take too long to replace it. They are hard to come by, but I still want another set. Amazon's price was great.
